John Hesterberg

John Hesterberg has extensive experience in software engineering and management roles. John started their career in 1983 as a Systems Programmer at NCR Comten and then worked as a Software Engineer at various companies such as ETA Systems, Pyramid Technology, and Cray Research, Inc. In 1996, they became a Senior Engineering Manager at SGI, where they worked until 2010. During their time at SGI, they also served as a Software Engineer. From 2010 to 2012, Hesterberg worked at Amazon as a Linux Operating Systems Manager. John then joined Cray Inc. in 2012, initially as a Senior Engineering Manager and later as a Linux System Software Engineer. In 2017, Hesterberg joined Veritas Technologies LLC as a Senior Principal Software Engineer, where they worked until 2019. Currently, they are employed as a Principal Engineer at Swoop Search.

John Hesterberg attended St. Olaf College from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a BA degree in Math and Computer Science.
