Josh Cohen

Josh Cohen's work experience begins with their current role as Head of Policy at SWTCH since March 2023. Previously, they served as the Director, Policy and Market Development at Shell Recharge Solutions from July 2019 to March 2023. Before that, they were the Director of Policy and Communications at the Business Network for Offshore Wind from June 2018 to July 2019. Josh also founded and served as the Principal of Polity Partners Consulting from January 2017 to July 2019. Josh worked as the Director of Policy and Utility Programs at SemaConnect from May 2018 to June 2019. Additionally, Josh hosted the More Power To You Podcast from March 2017 to April 2019. Prior to this, they served as the Deputy Administrator of the Rural Utilities Service at the USDA from October 2015 to January 2017. Josh was the Chief Administrative Officer at the Maryland Department of General Services from December 2013 to March 2015. Josh's earlier experience includes being the Mayor of the City of Annapolis, MD from December 2009 to December 2013, and serving as a County Councilmember at Anne Arundel County from December 2006 to December 2009.

Josh Cohen has a Master of Science degree in Energy Policy and Climate from The Johns Hopkins University. Josh also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Maryland. In addition, they have attended St. John's College, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown.
