The Artistic Pedagogic Youth Organization “Sxedia stin poli” (the name means “ raft in the city”) created on June 2000 as a non formal group called Artistic Pedagogic Youth Group “Sxedia”. Our motivation was the need for information, education and ideas exchange in the subject “communication through arts”, such as the creation of original artistic actions for kids and youth which aim to sensitize the local community in social matters as human rights, racism, differency, equal opportunities etc. Since 2007 we are a Non Governmental Organization.
In the organization participate more then 50 young volunteers: students, teachers, artists, animators and we are always open to new members.
Our targets are:
The search of creative ways of expression in learning and communication through arts (theatre, music, plastic arts, dance)
The organizing and participation in cultural and social actions in our city for young and children
The sensitization in social matters as human rights, environment protection, anti-racism, integration etc 
The training of our members in art, animation and social education through seminars and educational meetings
The collaboration with other organizations in local and European level.
Our actions: 
Educational meetings, seminars, workshops for: communication, art in education, intercultural learning, non formal education in youth work 
Issue free bimonthly newsletter 
Voluntary programs for kids and youth in our town (“action in the streets”). Indicatively we report: theatrical happenings, puppet performances, artistic workshops and games with music and movement, in social events of sensitization, in collaboration with local institutions and other non governmental youth organisations.
