Jacqui Smith

Jacqui Smith is currently serving as the Lead Conference Programmer for the South by Southwest Conference & Festivals at SXSW, responsible for overseeing content related to startups, transportation, book readings, and author signings since July 2024. Prior to this role, Jacqui held the position of Conference Programmer at SXSW from November 2022 to May 2024, managing tracks focused on energy, transportation, and travel and leisure. Jacqui's extensive background in event production includes serving as a Senior Conference and Event Producer at Aviation Week Network from June 2018 to November 2022 and as Associate Director of Public Affairs and Special Events at the National Air Traffic Controllers Association from September 2008 to May 2018. Early career experience also includes a role as a Special Events Intern at the American Diabetes Association in 2008. Jacqui holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Strategic Communication from American University.
