Larry Dailey

Conference Speaker Assistant

Larry Dailey is a Human-Centered Innovation Consultant and Facilitator at Larry Dailey Consulting, LLC since 2016, and serves as a Conference Speaker Assistant for SXSW since 2013. Previous experience includes working as a Career Counselor at Sierra Nevada Job Corps, where advocacy for students with disabilities was a key focus, and participation in a national Student-Centered Design effort. As a Professor and Endowed Chair at The Reynolds School of the University of Nevada, Reno from 2005 to 2016, Larry conceptualized the university's first human-centered design program and built a dedicated brainstorming facility. Larry also held positions as an Assistant Professor at Ball State University, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and worked as a Multimedia Producer at MSNBC.com during its inception. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Photography from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, along with a Bachelor of Journalism in Photojournalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English from the University of Missouri institutions.
