Bitan Basu has worked in the software industry for over 17 years. In 2022, they began working as a Sr Software Sales Specialist for DGC International. From 2008 to 2017, they worked for SyAM Software Inc. as Sr. Vice President and Director of Business Development APAC. During this time, they were responsible for developing management solutions that help small, medium, and enterprise businesses operate more efficiently. In 2020, they became the Founder and Chief Consultant of Outsource Software Sales. From 2017 to 2014, they were the Sr. Vice President and Head of Indian Operations for Fleetsu. During this time, they were responsible for managing OEM sales groups and teams in the Asia Pacific and European regions. From 2014 to 2006, they worked for integrum Management Systems as Sr. Vice President Sales, Asia. During this time, they were responsible for developing a comprehensive risk, compliance, and business optimization platform. From 2006 to 2004, they worked as an Independent Director and Sales Consultant for SANtools, Inc. in the APAC region. Finally, from 2004 to 2008, they worked as Director of Business Development OEM for Ariolic Software Ltd., where they were responsible for developing sales pipelines for a range of software applications.

Bitan Basu has a diverse educational background. From 1986 to 1989, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Calcutta. Bitan then attended Bhavan's College of Communication and Management from 1990 to 1992, where they earned a PGDM (Marketing) in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. In 1993 and 1994, they attended the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, where they earned an MIS in Management Information Systems. Bitan also obtained a certification from the Computer Society of India in Unix in 1993 and 1994. In addition, they have two certifications from Udemy, an Artificial Intelligence for Business certification obtained in August 2022, and a The Internet of Things (IOT) : 2022 Trends and the Future certification obtained in August 2022.
