Derek Mackie

Derek Mackie has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Derek is currently the Director of Engineering at Sycle, a position they have held since January 2018. Prior to this, Derek served as the CTO at Xeraflop Technologies Inc. from March 2016 to December 2017. At Xeraflop Technologies, they led a talented developer team and successfully launched several integrated products. Derek was responsible for managing agile projects and overseeing the development of product pipelines. Derek also has experience working as a ScrumMaster/Agile Project Manager at Global Relay from September 2008 to June 2010, as a Software Project Manager at Bodog.com from March 2005 to September 2008, as a Software Developer/Lead Software Developer at NGRAIN from July 2002 to February 2005, and as a Software Engineer at Cyence International from September 2001 to June 2002. Derek began their career at the Information Technology Institute, where they worked as a Facilitator/Lead Facilitator from December 1998 to August 2001. With their extensive background in engineering and project management, Derek brings a wealth of experience to any organization they join.

Derek Mackie obtained their Associate's Degree in Computer Science from Lakeland College Canada from 1996 to 1998.
