Sungwon

Sungwon Ma is a highly experienced engineer with a focus on customer technical development and composite applications for smart devices. Currently serving as a CTD Engineer at Syensqo since December 2023, Sungwon Ma previously held a similar position at Solvay for a brief duration. Prior to this, at DuPont from April 2015 to November 2023, Sungwon Ma contributed significantly as a Product & Customer Quality Engineer and Research Investigator, leading commercial projects and advancements in MMA cure chemistry and Corian® solid surfaces. Experience also includes a role as a Senior Researcher at LOTTE Chemical, focusing on thermoset composites and long fiber reinforced thermoplastics, and a postdoctoral position at UCLA, where self-healing thermoset composites were developed. Sungwon Ma holds a Ph.D. in Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Yonsei University.
