Tom Lawton

Tom Lawton is an experienced Production Technician currently employed at Syft Technologies since August 2022, previously holding the same role at the same company from March 2019 to May 2020. Lawton has a solid foundation in technical support, having served as an Assistant Technician at Ara Institute of Canterbury in 2017, and gained hands-on experience in stainless steel manufacturing at Mercer Stainless Ltd. from May 2013 to January 2015. A Royal Engineer in the HM Forces (Army) Corps of Royal Engineers from 2005 to 2013, Lawton developed strong leadership and management skills while achieving significant qualifications in engineering. Lawton holds a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Mechanical Engineering) and a New Zealand Diploma in Engineering, both from Ara Institute of Canterbury, as well as several qualifications from the Royal School of Military Engineering.
