Mark Platten

Mark Platten is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in electrical safety, quality management, and commissioning across various engineering projects. Currently serving as the Lead Commissioning Manager at Sygna since October 2022, Mark previously held several managerial positions at Dornan Engineering Ltd., including COHE & Commissioning Manager and Quality & Commissioning Manager, where responsibilities included quality management and oversight of testing and commissioning of MEP systems for major projects such as Crossrail. Mark’s career also includes roles as an independent consultant, director, and electrical design manager, where responsibilities ranged from project management for NHS installations to enhancing electrical safety and standards. With a solid educational foundation, including ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification, Mark Platten consistently drives quality and safety within the electrical contracting industry.
