Jacob Brauer

Jacob Brauer is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the healthcare technology sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at Syllable since January 2024, Jacob plays a crucial role in advancing AI-driven patient communication and healthcare access following the acquisition of Actium Health, where Jacob previously held the same title from June 2019 until the acquisition. Prior to Actium Health, Jacob was Director of Software Engineering at NextGen Healthcare and played a key role in the growth of Mirth Corporation, first as Lead Software Engineer and later as Engineering Manager before its acquisition by NextGen. Jacob’s career began at Unisys as a Software Engineer, and academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UC Irvine's Donald Bren School.
