Luis Cesar Assin

LUIS CESAR ASSIN has extensive experience in the paper and cellulose industry, currently serving as Gerente Geral de Engenharia e Confiabilidade at Sylvamo Brasil since February 2022. Prior to this role, LUIS worked at International Paper from April 1989, where positions included Engineering, Technology and EHS General Manager, Mill Manager, and various roles related to production and process management. LUIS also contributed to diversity and inclusion initiatives, overseeing the Núcleo de Etnia Racial. LUIS has held memberships in professional organizations such as Associação Brasileira Técnica de Papel e Celulose and served as a professor at Faculdades Integradas Maria Imaculada. Academic qualifications include a degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, a specialization in cellulose and paper from Universidade Federal de Viçosa, and a focus on environmental practices in pulp and paper manufacturing from the International Training Institute of Pulp and Paper in Sweden.
