Ivan Khomyakov

Ivan Khomyakov has a diverse work experience with a focus on software engineering and machine learning. Ivan is currently employed as a Software Engineer at Symbotic since October 2022. Prior to this, Ivan worked at Scale AI as a Machine Learning Engineer from September 2020 to June 2022, where they specialized in AI platform and infrastructure and led the migration of existing models to the Celery framework for offline inference.

Before Scale AI, Ivan worked at Cruise Automation as a Senior Software Engineer from August 2017 to June 2020. In this role, they were a technical leader in the Ground Truth Automation team, focusing on machine learning assistance for labelers and leading Active Learning efforts. Ivan also architected frameworks for data-driven experiments and contributed to improving components in the Lidar Segmentation stack.

Ivan's previous experience includes working as a Machine Learning Engineer at Yandex from January 2016 to June 2017, a Software Engineer at Boost Media from November 2014 to October 2015, an R&D Engineer at RoboCV from July 2013 to October 2014, and an AR Developer at REDMADROBOT from September 2012 to May 2013. At RoboCV, they researched and developed dynamic maps techniques, built a flexible architecture for storing routes and instructions, and developed a 3D Real-Time Locating System. At REDMADROBOT, Ivan worked on 3D applications and Augmented Reality projects.

Ivan's earliest work experience was as a Developer at Tver Trading System from December 2009 to September 2010.

Ivan Khomyakov pursued their education in the field of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. From 2007 to 2011, they attended Tver State University, where they completed their Bachelor's degree. Later, from 2011 to 2013, they enrolled in Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) to complete their Master's degree in the same field.
