Mark Young

Mark Young has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Mark is currently working as an Advanced Software Engineer at Symbotic since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Keystone Compliance as an EMC/Wireless Test Engineer from July 2021 to December 2021, where they performed testing, assisted clients in root cause determination, and developed automation tools.

In 2019, Mark worked at Apptio as a Technical Support Engineer, where they completed model reviews and performed network analysis to improve system performance. Mark also has experience as a Systems Engineer at Symbotic from May 2017 to May 2019, where they increased system reliability, improved team performance, and designed data analytics tools.

Mark started their career as a Controls Engineer Co-op at Intelligrated in 2014, where they designed automation tools and generated electrical drawings. Mark also worked as an Electrical Engineer Co-op at Intelligrated, where they implemented a tool that saved the company over $500,000 in project man hours.

Before their engineering career, Mark worked as a Mathematics and Science Tutor at the University of Cincinnati from 2011 to 2014. Mark also served in the US Navy as a Petty Officer First Class Submarine Qualified, where they provided technical support for US Navy submarines from 2004 to 2011.

Mark Young attended the University of Cincinnati from 2012 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology. During this time, they also pursued a minor in Robotics and Automation between 2015 and 2017, as well as a minor in Information Technology from 2012 to 2016. Prior to their university education, Mark also received several certificates from the Naval Submarine School. In 2009, they obtained a certificate in AN/BLQ-10 Maintenance, followed by a certificate in Electronic Intelligence Analysis in 2006. In 2004 and 2005, they earned a certificate in Electronics Technician Communications (Submarine). Mark also holds an OSHA 30 certification, although details about its institution and the year it was obtained are not provided.
