Matthew Pickard

Matthew Pickard is a Professional Geoscientist with over 20 years of experience in Environmental & Social Governance within the Canadian mining industry. Matthew holds an Honours Bachelor of Science and Masters of Business Administration, both from Laurentian University. He also retains the designations of certified Environmental Practitioner, Canadian Registered Safety Professional, and Professional Geoscientist. During his career, Matthew has spent time advancing safety, environment, and indigenous relations within Falconbridge, De Beers Canada, Baffinland Iron Mines, and now Sabina Gold and Silver. Matthew is currently the Vice President, of Environment & Sustainability for Sabina and is directing ESG for future mining development in Nunavut. He also sits on the board of the Northwest Territories & Nunavut Chamber of Mines and is a previous board member of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada.
