Sumit Oberai

Sumit Oberai is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in technology leadership and banking. Currently serving as Executive Vice President of Personal Banking and Digital Technology at RBC since March 2016, Sumit oversees a wide range of services including Mobile and Online Banking, Operations Technology, and RBC Ventures. Prior to this role, Sumit was Senior Vice President of Digital Technology at RBC, contributing significantly to digital innovation. Sumit has held pivotal positions at Indigo as Chief Information Officer and EVP Loyalty, and at Eloqua Corporation as Senior Vice President of Engineering, where strategic and technical advancements were achieved. Sumit also has experience in consulting with McKinsey & Company and holds advanced degrees including an MBA from INSEAD, an M. Eng. in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, and a B. Eng. in Applied Math & Engineering from Queen's University. Additionally, Sumit serves on the Board of Directors for Symcor.
