Janelle Shields

Janelle Shields (Gignac) is an experienced marketing professional with a strong background in growth marketing and event management. Currently serving as Growth Marketing Manager at Symend since January 2022, Janelle executes event marketing strategies and develops content for external speaking engagements to enhance thought leadership. Prior to this role, Janelle established Symend's event marketing program as Content & Events Marketing Manager and managed marketing efforts for the Meetings, Conventions & Incentive Travel team at Tourism Calgary. Additional experience includes planning and executing marketing campaigns for the Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival, coordinating promotions for Rawlco Radio, directing the Edwards Mentorship Program, and supervising promotions for Inventa. Janelle holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing from the University of Saskatchewan.
