Lawrence Chou

Lawrence Chou is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry and a strong background in engineering. Currently serving as a Technology Advisor at JPI Companies and Chief Technology Officer at Symfoni.io, Chou previously held multiple executive roles at Schlumberger, including VP Sales and Operational Planning and VP Products and Technology for Drilling Systems, where responsibilities included overseeing 2,000+ staff, managing $800 million in product production, and spearheading significant technology transitions. Additional leadership positions included overseeing the China GeoMarket, launching operational systems, and improving product quality on a global scale. Chou’s early career involved research at the University of Texas, focusing on advanced microelectronics, and Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, and Math from Rice University.
