Dev-ops Engineer at Symmetry Software

Kenneth Smith has extensive experience in software engineering and development. Kenneth started their career at Linear Logic LLC as a Mobile Application Developer, where they designed and developed mobile applications for Android and iOS. Kenneth also worked closely with hardware developers to create communication systems and protocols for data transfer.

Smith then joined Gilbert Public Schools Technology Services as a Programmer, where they developed web applications and services using JavaServer Faces for critical systems within the school district.

After that, they moved on to Symmetry Software, where they held multiple roles. As a Dev-ops Engineer, Smith designed and maintained infrastructure stacks on AWS, developed orchestration scripts using Terraform, and built CI/CD systems using Teamcity.

Kenneth also served as a Software Engineer at Symmetry Software, where they were the lead engineer for the Symmetry Payroll Forms application. Kenneth was responsible for processing employee and employer data, redesigning the web application to consume the Symmetry Payroll Forms API with a React frontend.

Throughout their career, Smith has demonstrated strong technical skills and expertise in various technologies and frameworks, including AWS services, JavaServer Faces, and mobile application development for Android and iOS.

Kenneth Smith obtained their Bachelor of Computer Science degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they attended Mesa Community College from 2008 to 2010, also focusing on Computer Science. In terms of additional certifications, Kenneth achieved the Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 8 Programmer certification from Oracle in December 2018, and the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer certification in June 2016.
