Amar Mehta

Amar Mehta has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Amar is currently working as a Lead Engineer at Symphony, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to this, Amar worked as the Chief Security Officer at StreetLinx, a subsidiary of Symphony, from November 2018 to August 2021.

Before joining Symphony, Amar was a Software Engineer at Juji, Inc. where they led the development of Juji's GraphQL APIs using Clojure and Datomic. Amar also built the ClojureScript chat client using re-frame. Amar worked at Juji from May 2017 to November 2018.

Amar's earlier experiences include roles at System2 LLC as a Software Engineer from June 2016 to May 2017, at Lifebooker LLC as a Software Engineer from June 2013 to June 2016, and at King Street Capital Management as a Software Engineer from September 2009 to May 2013.

Prior to that, Amar worked at UBS Investment Bank as a Software Engineer from September 2008 to September 2009, at Lehman Brothers as a Software Engineer from January 2006 to September 2008, at New York Mercantile Exchange as a Software Engineer from August 2004 to January 2006, and at PepsiCo as a Software Engineer from September 2003 to August 2004.

Throughout their career, Amar has showcased their expertise in various technologies and frameworks, including Clojure, ClojureScript, GWT, and Tibco EMS. Amar has also demonstrated leadership skills by leading development efforts, mentoring developers, and overseeing reengineering projects.

Amar Mehta began their education history in 1998, attending Binghamton University where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science. Amar completed their studies in 2000.

In 2007, Amar received certification as a Mixologist from the Beverage Alcohol Resource. Additionally, they studied Economics at the Mises Institute during the same year.
