Alan Ng

Alan Ng has a diverse work experience spanning various technology and management roles. Alan is currently serving as the Head of Global IT Operations at SymphonyAI, leading IT operations on a global scale. Prior to this, they worked at Cheetah Digital where they served as an ITSM Project Manager and later as an IT Operations Manager for the APAC/EMEA regions.

Before joining Cheetah Digital, Alan worked at Experian Asia Pacific as a Professional Services Manager, leading a team in delivering software services for cross-channel marketing. Alan also had a stint at Experian as an Incident and Problem Manager.

Alan's earlier experience includes roles at T-Systems, where they served as a Linux/UNIX Operations Manager and a Linux/UNIX Level 3 Team Lead. Alan also worked as a Unix Security and Compliance Engineer. Additionally, Alan has worked at Shell IT International as a UNIX Security Engineer, focusing on designing and implementing security policies for Linux/Unix servers.

Alan's career began at Open Source Systems, where they held roles as an Assistant Manager Systems, leading a team in supporting customers in Linux, Unix, and HPC technical computing, and as a Software Development Engineer, working on various key projects and developing training programs.

Throughout their career, Alan has showcased their expertise in IT operations, project management, team leadership, and implementing security policies.

Alan Ng has pursued their education in various institutions. Alan completed their MSc in Informatics with Distinction from The University of Edinburgh between 2006 and 2009. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc in Media Informatics from Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen, achieving an overall mark of 1.3, during the period of 2006 to 2008. At Multimedia University, they earned a B.Eng in Electronics Engineering with First Class Honours from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, Alan recently obtained a certification in Microsoft Office 365 Administration from LinkedIn in 2022.
