Julia Sakamoto

Julia Sakamoto has held a variety of roles since 2013. Julia began their career as a Co-Founder and UI Designer at TeamBook in 2013. In 2015, they were an Instructor at Khon Kaen University in Northeastern Thailand, teaching university English. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Management Consultant and Machine Learning Engineer at SOLIZE Corporation, where they guided business strategies and developed an anomaly detection program. Finally, from 2018 to present, they have been at Actium Health, where they have held the roles of Senior Product Manager, Product Manager, Associate Product Manager, Lead Business Analyst, and Data Engineer. In their role as Product Manager, they planned and released two new products end-to-end, owned the sunsetting of a legacy feature, and shepherded the end-to-end standardization of the company's data schema and pipeline. As Lead Business Analyst, they implemented Agile best practices, managed the backlog, and created a POC for scalable data validation and ingestion processes.

Julia Sakamoto obtained their High School Diploma from Evergreen Valley High School. Julia then attended Tufts University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Applied Mathematics. Additionally, they attended San Francisco Japanese Language School.
