Jacob Harper

Director of Global Support Operations at Symplicity

Jacob Harper has a diverse work experience in both the corporate and education sectors. From 2012 to the present, they have worked at Symplicity Corporation, starting as a Client Manager and then moving up to Manager of Client Support. In this role, they oversaw product support specialists and various teams, ensuring the satisfaction of over 800 institutions of higher education. Currently, they serve as the Director of Global Support Operations, responsible for leading the global support Tier I & II structure and managing vendor relationships. Prior to their time at Symplicity Corporation, Jacob worked at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown from 2007 to 2012. Their roles there included Director of Student Relations and Conduct, Coordinator of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution, and Area Coordinator. In these positions, they managed residential facilities and supervised staff, while also providing crisis response and overseeing a budget for residential education.

Jacob Harper holds a Master of Arts degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Jacob also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Communication from Juniata College. In addition to their formal education, Jacob has obtained various certifications including Workday Basics from Workday in August 2022, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Six Sigma Academy Amsterdam in April 2022, Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from Six Sigma Academy Amsterdam in March 2022, Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from Six Sigma Academy Amsterdam in February 2022, Managing Customer Expectations from Dale Carnegie Training in May 2015, and Attitudes for Service from Dale Carnegie Training in March 2015.
