Janet Sun

VP, Product at Symplicity

Janet Sun has extensive work experience in product strategy and management. Janet started their career at BBN in 1994 as Director of Investor Relations. Janet then moved on to GTE Internetworking, where they held positions as AVP of Strategic Planning and AVP of Business Development. In 2000, Janet joined Genuity as VP of Marketing and Product Management, where they developed marketing and product plans and identified market opportunities for new Internet services products.

In 2002, Janet joined Experience, Inc. as VP of Product Strategy and Marketing. During their tenure, they led the vision for the development and launch of 10 new products and implemented various marketing strategies to build brand recognition and generate leads.

From 2013 to 2014, Janet worked at ConnectEDU as VP of Product, where they created an integrated product strategy for the K12 and Higher Ed markets and introduced innovative solutions such as experiential learning management workflow.

Finally, Janet joined Symplicity Corporation in 2014 as VP of Product. Janet oversaw the global product strategy, defined product vision and roadmaps for multiple products, and drove user engagement and e-commerce revenues. Janet also introduced product innovations using machine learning and data visualization technology and successfully managed over 100 product releases.

Janet Sun has completed a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelors degree from The Johns Hopkins University.
