Foster Sayers

Foster Sayers has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Foster currently holds the position of Vice President of Legal Operations at symplr, a role they started in September 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Featured Columnist for Contract Nerds starting in August 2023.

In previous roles, Foster served as the Co-Founder of Tactile VR from February 2022. For Pramata, they held the positions of General Counsel and Chief Evangelist from May 2022 to May 2023. At Vertafore, Foster held multiple roles, including Corporate Counsel from December 2020 to June 2022, Senior Legal Counsel from April 2019 to December 2020, and Legal Counsel from February 2017 to April 2019.

Before Vertafore, Foster worked as the General Counsel/Government Liaison/Public Relations at Vertex Railcar Corporation from September 2014 to February 2017. Foster also founded and served as the CEO of 121nexus from January 2011 to September 2014, and as the VP Business Development & Administration at Mainline Information Systems from April 2009 to September 2010.

Earlier in their career, Foster had internships at Summit East Management and Mainline Information Systems. Overall, Foster Sayers has gained extensive experience in legal operations, business development, and administration throughout their career.

Foster Sayers obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Politics, with a focus on Japanese, from Penn State University in 2004. In 2005, they pursued their Juris Doctor degree in Law at Florida State University, completing it in 2008. Additionally, Sayers attended various international institutions for short-term programs, including Temple University Japan Campus in 2007, where they studied International Finance, Japanese Law, Negotiations, and Chinese Business and Investment Law. Foster also enrolled in the Victoria University of Wellington in 2004, focusing on International Politics, Japanese, and Liberal Arts. Sayers further enriched their education by studying Japanese at Kanda University of International Studies in 2003 and Chinese Language at Nanjing University in 2002.
