Raphael Thomas Jr

Raphael Thomas Jr has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Raphael began their career in the US Marine Corps, where they served for 6 years, gaining expertise in telephone system and personal computer repair. As a Sergeant, they led junior Marines in training exercises and on-the-job training. After leaving the military, Raphael worked at QSI, Inc as an IT Manager and MIS/IT Technician, overseeing day-to-day operations, staff training, and project management. Raphael then co-founded PSboys Music, Development & Branding, where they served as a Lead Mixing Engineer, providing full artist and commercial services and managing client relations. Currently, Raphael is working at symplr as a Systems Engineer, Team Lead, responsible for managing hardware and software in complex hosted and SaaS environments. Raphael also has strong skills in technical writing, IT project management, and process improvement.

Raphael Thomas Jr began their education history in 2005 when they completed the Basic Electronics Course offered by the United States Marine Corps. In 2006, they furthered their technical training by completing the Telephone Systems/Personal Computer Intermediate Repair Course also provided by the Marine Corps. During this time, they attended the Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School. In 2015, they obtained the CompTIA A+ certification from CompTIA. Raphael later obtained several additional certifications, including the Industrial Truck Driving Permit from Hull Lift Truck, Inc. in 2012, and the Secret Security Clearance from the United States Department of Defense in 2005. Their most recent certifications include the CompTIA A+ ce Certification from CompTIA in 2023 and the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2022.
