Mel Carmichael

Mel Carmichael, CRL, PMP, has a diverse background in project management and operations within the energy sector. Experience includes working at Hawaiian Electric Company from February to June 2014 on the Reliability Optimization Improvement Team, focusing on reducing equipment failure rates. At Synagro from June 2014 to March 2021, Mel held several leadership roles, including Sr. Plant Manager and Vice President of Facilities Operations. Following that, Mel served as a Project Manager at Brown and Caldwell from March 2021 to March 2022. Earlier, from July 2001 to December 2013, Mel worked at GE Power as a Multi-Site Manager and Project Manager, overseeing operations and maintenance for over 300 MW wind turbine projects across the US and Canada. Education was completed at California State University-Sacramento in 2015.
