Gavin Peacock

Gavin Peacock has a wealth of experience in the software engineering and neural science industries. Gavin began their career in 1995 as a Neural Scientist at Neural Technologies, where they built models using back-prop, Kohonen maps, Gaussian mixture models, RBF, and other bespoke techniques. Gavin then moved to Sercel in 2004, where they worked as a Software Engineer and was responsible for interpreting, integrating, logging, and displaying data from seismic vessels. In 2012, they joined Emerson as a Development Team Lead, where they were in charge of the maintenance and development of Tempest ENABLE desktop application and the transfer of ENABLE functionality to cloud services. Gavin is currently employed as a Senior Java Developer at SYNALOGiK Innovative Solutions Limited since 2022.

Gavin Peacock completed a BSc in Physics and Electronics from the University of Reading between 1985 and 1989. Gavin then completed an MSc in Meteorology from the same university in 1989-1990. Afterwards, they completed a PhD in Acoustics and Neural Networks from the University of Brighton between 1990 and 1994.
