Dirk Ally has extensive work experience in project management and development engineering. Dirk started their career at Barco in 1987 as a Development Engineer, where they designed power electronics for broadcast CRT monitors and managed projects related to broadcast monitors. In 1997, Dirk joined Scientific-Atlanta Europe BVBA as a Development Manager, responsible for designing power supplies for telecom equipment and cable headend equipment. Dirk also managed manufacturing and maintenance processes. In 2005, they joined Cisco as a Project Manager, where they worked until 2018. Dirk's most recent position is as a Lead Project Manager at Synamedia, which they started in December 2018.
Dirk Ally obtained a Master of Science in Electronics Engineering from Ghent University from 1981 to 1986. Prior to that, they completed their Wet.A degree in Mathematics at St-Jozefscollege Tielt from 1975 to 1981. Dirk also holds additional certifications including PMI-ACP from the Project Management Institute obtained in 2015 and PMP obtained in 2008.
