Ann Torres

Ann Torres has an extensive work experience spanning over multiple industries and positions. Ann'smost recent position was as the Senior VP of Engineering and San Francisco Managing Director at Synapse Product Development, where they are currently employed. Prior to that, they worked at Cooper Perkins as the Chief Strategy Officer and then as the VP of Engineering. Ann also held the role of Director of Product Development at Polyera Corporation and was responsible for leading a mechanical design team. Ann has also worked at Apple, Function Engineering, SunPower Corporation, Mindtribe Product Engineering, Immersion Corporation, IDEO, and MIT CSAIL. Ann'sroles at these companies varied from product design and development to project management and research. Ann has a strong background in engineering and product development, with experience in industries such as robotics, consumer electronics, biomedical, and solar energy.

Ann Torres obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they attended from 1992 to 1996. Ann then pursued further education at Stanford University, earning a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1997 to 1999.
