Dylan Garrett

Dylan Garrett has a solid work history, starting in 2006 with their role as a Mechanical Engineer at Synapse Product Development. Dylan worked on designing mechanical portions of consumer and biotech products and collaborated with a team of engineers. In 2009, they transitioned to become a Program Manager, where they successfully managed multiple projects and maintained strong client relationships. In 2010, Dylan took on the role of Business Development Manager, focused on driving growth and partnerships for the company. In 2012, they advanced to become an Account Director, responsible for strategic account management and business development in the Bay Area. Dylan contributed to delivering innovative products for large brands and played a key role in Synapse's growth. In 2017, Dylan was promoted to Senior Director of Business Development, a position they held until 2019 before taking over as the VP and Head of Climate Tech Business. In this role, they led the company's climate tech initiatives and made significant contributions to the business. Dylan's expertise and experience in the field led to their current position as a Mentor at Third Derivative, where they support climate tech startups with hardware innovation strategies and tactics. Additionally, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Consultant for Prologix Instruments from 2006 to 2009.

Dylan Garrett obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering from 2002 to 2006. In 2008, they earned a Certificate in Human Anatomy from the University of Washington.
