SYNAPSE is a company specialised in the management of research and development projects in the biomedical sector, working with a great variety of stakeholders at both national and international levels (pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, research centres, academia, hospitals, regulatory authorities, public health authorities, etc.).
 
Located in Barcelona, SYNAPSE focuses on complex, distributed research and development projects that are highly innovative, ambitious (several million Euros of funding), and distributed (based on the collaboration of teams scattered in different institutions and countries), with a specific focus on European projects.

SYNAPSE services aim to support the scientific coordination at all levels throughout the project life cycle and include strategic planning and scoping of the project, configuration and development of the work plan (full Work Breakdown Structure, including definition of milestones and deliverables), development of governance mechanisms, design and implementation of management tools, budget elaboration and financial monitoring, knowledge management, legal management, design and deployment of a dissemination and communication strategy, and exploitation of research results.

The expertise of the team covers: project management, financial and legal assessment, exploitation and IPR management, knowledge management, validation and assessment, business planning, training, dissemination and communication strategies design and implementation. SYNAPSE’s interdisciplinary structure includes specialists in biochemistry and pre-clinical research, project management, finance, law, research exploitation, education and marketing.
