Andrei Smaliarou

Andrei Smaliarou is a senior ASIC and FPGA designer with extensive experience in verification and embedded software. Currently serving as a Staff Digital Engineer at Synaptics Incorporated since 2025, Andrei has previously held positions at Hitachi Energy as an R&D Senior FPGA Engineer and Vtool as an ASIC Design Engineer. With a background as an FPGA Design Engineer in 5G products at Nokia and an ASIC Engineer at Syntacore, Andrei contributed to the design and verification of various IP blocks and open-source projects. Additionally, Andrei began their education in ASIC/FPGA design DSP at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, where they continue to study.
