Elkin Garcia

Elkin Garcia is a highly experienced professional in firmware systems and algorithm architecture, currently serving as Principal Firmware Systems Architect at Synaptics Incorporated since September 2014. Prior roles at Synaptics include Sr. Staff Algorithm Architect, Staff Algorithm Architect, and Algorithm Architect. Elkin's earlier experience includes work as a Research Assistant at the University of Delaware, where significant contributions were made in implementing parallel algorithms and teaching various engineering courses. Additional internships at Intel Corporation and earlier roles in academia, such as Instructor and Adjunct Professor at several universities, highlight a strong foundation in electrical and computer engineering. Elkin holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Delaware, a Master’s Degree from Universidad de Los Andes, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
