Dylan Royston

Dylan Royston, PhD, is a Senior Data Engineer at Synchron, specializing in high-performance cloud systems for neural data and clinical brain-computer interfaces. Previously, Dylan served as a Data Engineer at Manifold and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pittsburgh, where significant contributions included designing the cloud computing platform Spectralize and analyzing multimodal neural data. As a PhD candidate at the University of Pittsburgh, research focused on sensorimotor encoding and the development of automated data processing pipelines, along with the creation of statistical and machine-learning models. Dylan holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.S. in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Neuroscience from the University of Virginia.
