Joy Scott

Joy Scott has been working as a graphic designer, presentation specialist, illustrator, and special FX makeup artist since 1996. Joy began their career as a Studio Assistant at Integrated (Interlink) Communications, where they created design layouts, flowed presentations, created graphics, and worked on print pre-press. In 2003, they joined Clinical CONNEXION / Connexion Healthcare as a Presentation Specialist and Graphic Designer, where they created novel presentation template designs, assembled master page templates, flowed and edited content, added interactive elements, created support graphics, and photo edited. From 2009 to 2019, they worked at Synchrony Group, LLC as a Senior Graphic Design Specialist and Presentation Specialist, Graphic Designer, and Illustrator. In this role, they supported both Synchrony’s marketing and medical/scientific communications divisions, creating master page templates, flowing content, modifying page layouts, editing, graphics creation, and creating scientific poster layouts. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at EPR Marketing, Inc. as a Graphic Designer and Photoediting, prepping, editing, and silhouetting images in Photoshop for marketing pieces. Joy also designed layouts for promotional materials. From 2014 to 2018, they worked at Children’s Integrated Center for Success as a Graphic Design and Communications, developing the corporate brand identity and creating a poster campaign of over 50 designs. From 2018 to 2019, they worked at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom as a Supervisor of Entertainment Costuming and Special FX Makeup Artist, managing a department of up to 10 employees. Finally, since 2000 they have been self-employed, offering presentation, design, layout, and illustration services to a wide variety of clients.

Joy Scott attended Rochester Institute of Technology from 1988 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Medical and Scientific Illustration. Joy also obtained an Associate of Science in Biology, General from 1988 to 1990.
