Dan Recinella

EVP, Device Development at Syncromune™

Dan Recinella has extensive work experience in the medical devices industry. Dan is currently the EVP of Device Development at Syncromune™, a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to that, they were the Owner of Mountain Med Device Solutions, LLC starting in September 2020.

From August 2020 to the present, Recinella served as the VP of Research and Development at Amsel Medical, a pre-commercial stage company specializing in a new approach to mechanical clamping of vessels and tissue. Dan was responsible for developing technology to close non-compressible junctional hemorrhages.

Before their role at Amsel Medical, from March 2019 to August 2020, Recinella worked as the Executive VP of Device Development at ImmunSYS, Inc., a clinical-stage immunotherapeutic development company focusing on late-stage metastatic prostate cancer.

Recinella also has extensive experience at Veniti, where they held various roles from 2012 to 2019. Dan served as the VP of Technology, Regulatory, and Clinical Affairs from September 2015 to January 2019. Prior to that, they held the positions of VP of R&D and Operations from February 2014 to September 2015, and VP of Research and Development from April 2012 to March 2014.

Dan'searlier experience includes working at AngioDynamics, where they held multiple roles. Dan served as the VP of Research and Development from November 2004 to April 2012, overseeing all product development activities and strategic planning. Before that, they were the Director of Product Development from June 2001 to October 2004, responsible for managing the department and introducing new products to the market. Recinella initially joined AngioDynamics as a Product Manager in May 1999.

Recinella's career in the medical devices industry began at Mansfield Scientific, where they worked as a Project Engineer from 1985 to 1989.

Overall, Dan Recinella has a strong background in medical device development, research and development, and executive leadership roles within the industry.

Dan Recinella attended the University of Michigan from 1977 to 1981, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). Following this, they pursued further education at the University at Albany, SUNY from 1996 to 1998, completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in General Business.
