WE ARE SYNECDOCHE,
an interdisciplinary creative architecture studio.

As architects, designers, developers, and makers, we leverage operations, utilize material detailing, and consider code application tactically to create bold projects with purpose. We are a team of doers. We don’t just make shit, we make shit happen. Driven by a rebellious spirit and relentless curiosity, we challenge expectations and believe everyone deserves great design.

The studio's award-winning work has been recognized by AIA, Architizer, A'N, and published in DesignMilk, Architectural Record, Dezeen, ArchDaily, DesignBoom, and Architectural Digest. The Editors' Pick in Architect’s Newspaper for Best of Practice - Small Firm Midwest, SPARK FastTrack multi-year awardee, and repeatedly on GC Magazine's Best of list, and principal Lisa Sauve on the Forbes 1000 and Crain's Detroit Notable Women in Design - the firm is recognized by the architecture, construction, and business communities for the successful impact of the design.
