Joel King

Joel King has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Joel began their career in 1978 as a Computer Sales Representative for NCR Corporation. In 1980, they became a National Account Manager for AT&T VSAT, where they sold satellite data communications solutions. Joel then moved to Octel Communications in 1989 as the Director of Strategic Distribution, developing and managing the distribution plans for Octel's Voice Web service. In 1992, they were a VIS Sales Representative for Octel/Lucent. From 1997 to 1999, they were the Executive Director of Enterprise Solutions for IntelliNet, responsible for revenue from consulting services. From 1999 to 2002, they were the Director of Sales for Interactive Intelligence, responsible for building a Service Provider sales organization in the Southeast and nationally. From 2002 to 2005, they were the Director of Sales for BeVocal, selling speech recognition software and voice enabled platform technology. Finally, from 2005 to 2016, they were the Director of Business Development for ShoreTel, a provider of Cloud and premise Unified Communications solutions. Most recently, they have been the Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Accounts for Synergem Technologies, Inc.

Joel King attended The University of Georgia from 1974 to 1978, where they earned a BBA in Quantitative Business/Statistics. Joel also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from the Univeristy of Georgia.
