Michael Pointer

In June 2015 Michael left the partnership of Bowman Consulting Group Ltd. and started a Pipeline & Facilities Inspections company named Bowman Field Solutions. We recently rebranded to Synergy Inspections. We are small enough to provide exclusive service on small projects and large enough to handle some of the largest projects in the country for some of the largest gas companies and energy clients in the country and we anticipate further growth through expanded services and geographic footprint.

Prior to starting the Inspections company, Michael was a partner and Regional Manager for Bowman Consulting Group Ltd. for over 13 years. After joining in 2002, Michael oversaw all Planning, Engineering, Surveying, and Environmental Services in numerous offices in Virginia before opening operations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia and leading the company’s Energy Services from 2011 thru 2015.

While still with Bowman Consulting Group we began providing Inspections Services for major gathering, transmission, and distribution Natural Gas Pipelines and Facilities in 2013. Michael left Bowman Consulting Group and started Bowman Field Solutions in 2015. Work includes both New Construction and Integrity Management Replacement projects in the Marcellus and Utica Shale Plays. Michael is responsible for all Operations including recruiting and verification of Operator Qualifications, placement, administration, management, and supervision of all Inspections personnel including Project Management, Welding, Coating, General Utility, Environmental, Safety, Routing and Materials Management.

Michael has over 33 years of planning and civil engineering experience in all aspects of land development including commercial, residential, municipal and Energy sector projects in Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York.
