Simon Østergaard Hallberg has a diverse work experience spanning over different industries and roles. Simon Østergaard started their career as a Customer Service Representative at American Express from 2001 to 2004. Simon Østergaard then worked at Nokia as a Sub-contractor from 2005 to 2006. In 2006, they briefly worked as a Professor Assistant at Copenhagen Business School.
From 2008 to 2014, Simon worked at Jabra as a Business Controller, where they were responsible for financial reporting, market analysis, budgeting, and investment consulting in the B2C section.
In 2014, they joined TOP-TOY A/S as a Senior Business Controller, where they focused on sales and marketing support, strategy development, budgeting, and forecasting. Simon Østergaard later took on roles as Director of Business Controlling, BI & S&OP and Director of Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP), where they established and coordinated the S&OP process within the organization.
In 2019, Simon joined Synoptik Danmark as a Senior Business Controller, overseeing areas such as Supply Chain, Marketing, and Category Management. Simon Østergaard was later promoted to Head of Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP), where they were responsible for ensuring forecast alignment, gap analysis, and portfolio adjustments for over 240 retail stores and 2 online platforms.
Throughout their career, Simon has demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
Simon Østergaard Hallberg completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Economic, Finance, and Accounting from the University of Brighton, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Simon Østergaard then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in International Business at the Copenhagen Business School from 2005 to 2008.
