Mark de Vries is an experienced finance and analytics professional with a strong background in quantitative research and risk management. Currently serving as the Head of Analytics at SynOption since February 2020, Mark previously founded a fintech startup from February 2019 to February 2020. Mark's extensive career includes key leadership positions such as Chief Risk Officer at Nikko Asset Management and Managing Director roles at Dymon Asia Capital, Nomura International, and Bear Stearns. Additionally, Mark has held senior positions at Lehman Brothers and Shinsei Bank, as well as serving as SVP at ABN AMRO. Mark holds a PhD in Physics from Utrecht University and has further education from Leiden University.
