Timothy Jim

Timothy Jim is an experienced aerospace engineer currently serving as a Satellite Operations Engineer at Synspective Inc. since March 2025. With a background as an Aerodynamics Specialist at SkyDrive, Inc. from October 2022 to February 2025, Timothy focused on aerodynamic design and analysis for eVTOL vehicles. Prior to that, Timothy contributed to low boom supersonic aircraft optimization as a PhD Researcher at Tohoku University from April 2017 to October 2022, specializing in Bayesian optimization and machine learning techniques. Earlier roles include work as an Aeromechanics Research Engineer at Airbus Group Innovations and as a Quick Stop Device Research Intern at AMRC with Boeing. Timothy holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Tohoku University, an MSc in Aerospace Vehicle Design from Cranfield University, and a BEng in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Sheffield.
