Nikolas Balanis

Nikolas Balanis, PhD, is the co-founder of Syntax Bio and currently serves as the VP of Data Science & Molecular Biology. They previously held the position of CTO/Head of Computational Biology at a stealth mode biotech company and were a Senior Computational Biologist at Sana Biotechnology, Inc. Nikolas completed a postdoctoral research role at UCLA, where they developed pipelines for genomic and transcriptomic data analysis and mentored numerous students. They are pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biophysics from Case Western Reserve University.
