Abubakr Hamid is a seasoned technology leader with over 15 years of experience in software engineering and architecture. Currently serving as a Senior Gen AI Engineer at Syntax, Abubakr is focused on developing large-scale generative AI solutions and mentoring junior engineers. Previously, Abubakr held key roles in various companies, including leading a team of developers at Banan IT and working as a LiDAR Research Scientist at MRF Geosystems Corporation. Abubakr earned a Bachelor’s and Master's degree in Computer Science from Sudan University and Sudan University of Science and Technology, respectively, and also holds a Master's degree in Discrete Event Systems from McMaster University.
