Gerard Char

Gerard Char is an accomplished tax professional with extensive leadership experience in various organizations. They served as the Director of Taxation and Canadian Controller at Nova Steel Inc. and Comstock Mining Inc. from 2008 to 2013, followed by roles as Regional Tax Director and Controller at CGR Group between 2013 and 2019. Previously, they held positions as Assistant Controller at BLJC Johnson Controls and Tax Head and Finance Controller at L3 Technologies. Currently, they are the Corporate & International Tax Head at Syntax, a role they have held since 2019. Gerard completed their undergraduate studies with joint honors at McGill University and pursued graduate studies there as well.
