Tomas Sigurdarson

Tomas Sigurdarson has a varied work experience, starting with their current position as a Senior Consultant at Syntell AB since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Manager at Cling Systems from August 2021 to February 2022. Tomas also held the role of Business Intelligence Developer at Triol Kapital AB from August 2021 to November 2021.

In 2020, Tomas was the Co-Founder & CTO of Envar, a company focused on helping small/medium enterprises reduce and compensate for their emissions. Tomas developed a platform for carbon offsetting projects and worked there from October 2020 to April 2021. Before that, they briefly worked as an Entrepreneur at Antler, a global early-stage venture capital firm, from August 2020 to October 2020.

From November 2019 to May 2020, Tomas was a Senior Software Engineer at Nobina Europe AB, where they worked on a proof of concept system in the IoT, Geospatial, traffic analysis intersection. Tomas also worked as a Software Engineer at a Small Consultancy Company from November 2018 to June 2019, where they transformed an insurance management system and implemented a more granular authorization schema.

In 2016, Tomas worked as a Startup Engineer at Eniga Technology, where they led the design and development of a cloud-native IoT system. Tomas held multiple roles, including Product Owner, Interface towards Microsoft Consultancy Services, System Architect, Systems Engineer, and Data Scientist. Prior to that, they were a System Developer at AcobiaFLUX from August 2010 to July 2012, where they worked on projects for various companies, configuring SCADA systems and managing automatic report data generation.

Tomas Sigurdarson attended Chalmers University of Technology from 2007 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. During their time at Chalmers University, from 2013 to 2015, they also pursued a Master's degree in Complex Adaptive Systems. In terms of additional certifications, they completed various courses through Coursera in areas such as Business Strategies for A Better World, Business Strategies for Social Impact, Data Science, Corruption, Global Trends for Business and Society, Managing Data Analysis, Social Entrepreneurship, and Systems Thinking In Public Health. These certifications were obtained in June and July of 2020.
