Patrick Wightman

Patrick leads the manufacturing team responsible for generating consistent in-specification high purity Aloxsyn® enzyme products using qualified and validated manufacturing processes. His expertise is in fermentation process optimization, protein purification, and product formulation. The team is also responsible for developing novel products, optimizing strains, and delivering methodologies to strengthen quality systems, working closely alongside the R&D team to achieve this.

Patrick is passionate about working in the biotech industry which draws on his skills in molecular biology and biochemistry and his interest and satisfaction in making products to a high standard. Patrick has worked for Synthase since 2017 following the completion of his MSc and a six-month position at a separate biotechnology company.
