Stuart Cathrow

Stuart Cathrow has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries. Stuart started their career as an Auditor at Pricewaterhouse Coopers London and then moved on to CCC International as a Financial Controller. Stuart later joined Yule Catto & Co Plc as a Group Finance Manager and International Tax Manager. Stuart then worked at Polestar Group as the Group Financial Controller, where they managed the central/group accounting team and handled due diligence activities. Stuart also served as the Group Chief Accountant at Polestar, managing the 5-year rolling financial plan and participating in the financial restructuring of the group's debts. Stuart joined Quaystone Baptist Church as a Church Minister, leading a congregation and handling strategic direction, public speaking, and event management. Stuart then returned to Polestar as the Group Tax Manager before joining Synthomer as the Group Financial Controller & Head of Treasury. At Synthomer, Stuart held various roles, including VP Finance for the Global Functional Solutions Division and VP Group Finance, where they managed a global team and oversaw external and internal reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury operations. Throughout their career, Stuart has showcased their expertise in finance, accounting, tax, and treasury management.

Stuart Cathrow completed their Chartered Accountancy degree at ICAEW from 1996 to 1999. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Engineering at the University of Cambridge, Trinity Hall from 1990 to 1994, earning an MA. In addition, Stuart obtained a certification from Deloitte, specifically the Next Generation CFO Academy, in the year 2023.
