Patrick Bárcia

Patrick Bárcia serves as the Vice President of Technology at SYSADVANCE since July 2010, where responsibilities include establishing the company’s technological vision and implementing strategies for developing advanced technology portfolios focused on renewable gas production and industrial gas recovery. Prior roles at SYSADVANCE include R&D Manager and R&D Engineer, with a focus on biogas upgrading, CO2 capture, and high-purity gas generation. Additionally, Patrick served as an Advisory Board Member for the Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas from February 2020 to 2021 and worked as a researcher at Laboratório Associado LSRE-LCM, specializing in gas adsorption and separation. A visiting researcher at TU Delft Campus, Patrick holds a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Universidade do Porto, obtained in 2010.
